Bank of Oklahoma Phishing Scam (May 2005)

Yet another Phishing scam is being circulated. This one is supposedly from the Bank of Oklahoma. Here is the email sent:

If you click on any of the hyperlinks, you are actually directed to http://vds-356169.amen-pro.com/onlinebanking.bankofoklahoma.com/OnlineBanking/index.php (obviously not Bank of Oklahoma). Here is the web page you are sent to:

 

This looks just like the real Bank of Oklahoma web site (the links on the right take you to the real web site), however the 'Login' button runs a script on the scammers web page named 'step1.php', which probably captures your login/password.

 

As always, don't click on the links in suspicious emails, especially if it tells you to update your financial information.
